It may not have escaped your attention but Regents Park is slowly being implanted with cherry trees. 100 of them in fact! They are as a result of the Regent’s Park Cherry Tree Fund, which you can still donate to and supported by the Regent’s Park Cyclists. Not least those that took part in the fantastic #Zoodax early in October.
Over the past two weeks a team of landscaping and gardening professionals have been planting the new prunus ‘Sunset Boulevard’ trees. They have about a week left to go.
These new Regents Park Cherry Trees will frame Chester Road from Queen Mary’s Garden gates all the way across to the Outer Circle. This is a meticulous process as each tree has to be carefully hand planted perpendicular to the ground and all in a perfectly straight line… no easy feat!
When you’re next out on your bike or in Regent’s Park in General please do feel free to visit Chester Road and see the planting first hand. We look forward to the dedication ceremony to be held in April 2016 it would be great if Regent’s Park Cyclists could Support the new Cherry Trees on that day. We’ll keep you posted with a firm date.

Thank you so much for helping us to Bring Back the Blossom to the Regent’s Park!
